Charlie and the Check-out Girls

Also Cambridge Sainsbury's 1976.

I'm surprised I wasn't thrown out of the store! I was once asked to stop taking photos in M&S but I don't think I was asked to leave. Posted by Picasa

These seemingly mundane photos of life inside a supermarket are actually quite fascinating. These are the kind of photos that will be looked at many years hence, and named" Reminiscences of a bygone age. The supermarket and it's people" !
I have never thought of taking such photos but I am rather tempted to do something similar.

BTW, who is Charlie? Rather good looking!

I do remember the brown paper carrier bags with the slogan on though. That's nice and clear in the photo. that girl looks rather bored though. You'd think she'd be smiling at Chatlie since he's rather nice....
